I’m putting two more flush mounted rod holders on my 19′ Trophy. These will be forward of the two transom mounted ones it came with. Any advice on what angle to mount them at for trolling? Thanks!

Take your factory ones off and that should give you the angle you need. I just added 2 more to my pathfinder.

Oh shit. Yeah gotta agree with guy here Lol!! But forward ones should be at a outward angle and rear ones facing straight back.

Did any of you read the post? ? If you are running one on each outrigger I would put them straight out the side. If you are going to put two on each side I’d put the aft at a 45 and the fore straight out.

Use a proper hole saw size. When your drilling… Set the rod holder upside down flush on the deck next to where your drilling. Use that angle as a guide while your drilling. Helps to drill the pilot hole first. The saw will usually bottom out depends on how thick the deck is, how deep holesaw is. Sometimes gotta delaminate a piece to get all the way through or try from other side.

Drill one hole vertical and the other at a slight angle to get the egg shape hole with a hole saw
